This is my story.

I'm Mark Ridgeon. I wear a few hats - a Fractional COO, an entrepreneur, and a podcast host. If you're on the hunt for a top-tier COO who's all about executing and scaling businesses through modern operational procedures, you're in the right place.

My story

I am more than just a person in business. I am also a family man grateful for the love of my wonderful wife, Charlotte, and our beautiful children.

Our British bulldogs, Onslow and Olive, add an extra dose of joy to our family walks. There's nothing quite like a leisurely stroll in the countryside, unless you're a British bulldog, of course!

When I'm not busy with work, I enjoy getting my adrenaline pumping with adventure sports. I also have a passion for football, and my heart belongs to Tottenham Hotspur. I know they are frustrating, but I can't help but love them.

I talk to some of the world's leading founders on my podcast, The Founders Den. It's a space where stories are shared, lessons are learned, and the entrepreneurial journey takes centre stage.

For me, it's about more than just providing consultancy. It's about creating a vibrant community where budding entrepreneurs connect and share their stories.

Some A’s to your Q’s

Is it the wee hours for you? Do you have a burning question? No worries, I've got you covered. Here are some of the most common head-scratchers I get asked.
What does your business review service include?

The business review service provides a comprehensive analysis of your company's current operations, strategies, and market position. I identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to help you make better, more informed decisions.

What's the process for implementing your recommended strategies?

After I present my recommendations, I work closely with your team to develop an implementation plan. This includes setting clear goals and timelines and assigning responsibilities through technology. I also provide ongoing support and adjustments as needed.

What kind of startups do you typically work with?

I work with a wide range of startups across various industries. My clients range from tech startups to retail businesses. I am particularly experienced in helping early-stage startups scale and improve their operations.

What is your approach to product development for startups?

My approach is customer-centric. I start by understanding your target market and their needs. From there, I help you develop a product roadmap, prototype, and, eventually, a market-ready product. I can also assist with user testing and feedback collection.

How can your consultancy help with crisis management?

In times of crisis, I provide strategic advice to help you navigate the situation. This includes risk assessment, communication strategies, and contingency planning. My goal is to minimise the impact on your business and help you emerge stronger from it.

What resources do you offer for hiring best practices?

I offer a range of resources to help startups build effective teams. These include guides on job description writing, interview techniques, and onboarding new employees. I also provide advice on creating a positive company culture and retaining talent. The hiring process itself can be tricky, and it's critical to make the right hires. I am happy to be involved with interviews, aptitude testing, and negotiations over salary and options.
